I am a first-generation Cuban-American born and raised in Miami, Florida. Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to be a lawyer. After earning my Bachelor’s degree from the Florida State University and my law degree University of Florida Levin College of Law, I achieved my goal.
My path towards employment law began in law school. During my third year, I had the opportunity to represent juveniles in the delinquency and dependency systems as a certified legal intern for UF’s Civil Law Clinics. What began as a way to gain courtroom experience as a law student was a defining moment in my legal career as I helped my clients navigate a complicated legal system during the most difficult and stressful moments in their lives.
It is this experience and passion for helping others that I bring to my practice as an employment lawyer. One of the most rewarding aspects of my career in employment law is getting to know my clients and being able to put a face to the legal issues our clients are facing. I believe this makes me a better advocate for my client’s rights. While I may have achieved my goal of becoming a lawyer, I am constantly striving to become a better advocate and a better employment lawyer.
